The List Behind the Account, and How to Shorten It — FxPro United Arab Emirates 2026
Forex, metals, indices, energies, shares CFDs and futures reach 2,116 symbols in one account. Almost all of a trading week happens on five of them.
Open FxPro Account →FxPro is a global forex and CFD broker, established in 2006, that — according to FxPro — accepts clients from many countries, Emirati traders among them. What sits behind the account is a list of 2,116 instruments spanning forex, indices, shares, metals and energies, reached through five account types on MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader and the FxPro Edge platform. Almost none of that list matters on a given day: most traders work from a handful of symbols and leave the rest in the catalogue. The minimum deposit is $100, leverage runs up to 1:200 depending on the instrument, and an account can be funded in AED. Availability and terms can change, so always confirm the current offer before opening an account.

Open FxPro Account →A catalogue is not a watchlist
Two thousand instruments is a fact about the catalogue, not about your screen. Each one is a separate market with its own opening calendar, its own quote convention and its own reasons to move, and none of that is learned by scrolling a list.
The working answer is usually small: a few forex pairs, perhaps one metal, perhaps one index. A list that fits on a single screen can be followed every day. A list of forty symbols is a list nobody reads.
What the six groups actually are
Forex pairs price one currency against another and are quoted in pips. Metals such as gold and silver are quoted per ounce, so a figure in points there is not directly comparable with a figure in pips on a currency pair.
An index tracks a basket rather than a company. Energies follow a physical commodity with its own delivery calendar. A share CFD tracks one listed company and inherits its earnings dates and its exchange hours, and a futures contract carries an expiry. The differences are not cosmetic: they decide when a market is open and what tends to move it.
Narrowing the list before the first order
A more useful filter than which market is best is which market you can look at at the same time every day. Anything you cannot check regularly becomes a position managed badly, whatever the spread on it happens to be.
A free demo account exists for exactly this: the catalogue can be explored at no cost, and the symbols that survive a few weeks of attention are the ones worth funding. Nothing about the list changes when real money arrives, except how much attention it deserves.
Turning a catalogue into a watchlist
- Open a free demo account and load the full symbol list once, to see what is actually there.
- Pick at most five symbols: a couple of forex pairs, one metal, one index.
- Put each one on a chart and watch it for a week before trading it.
- Delete anything you have not looked at during that week. A short list is the point.
- Move to the live account only once the short list has stopped changing.
The demo account is unlimited, so the list can be rebuilt as often as needed before anything is funded.
What each group on the list actually is
| Group | What you are trading | What tends to move it |
|---|---|---|
| Forex | One currency priced against another | Rate decisions and economic releases in either country |
| Metals | Spot gold or silver, quoted per ounce | The dollar, yields and risk appetite |
| Indices | A basket of listed companies, not one of them | Broad sentiment and the largest constituents |
| Energies | A physical commodity with a delivery calendar | Supply decisions, inventories and the calendar itself |
| Shares CFDs | A single listed company | Its earnings dates and its own exchange hours |
| Futures | A contract with a fixed expiry | The underlying market, plus the time left to expiry |
Six groups, one account. Contract sizes and quote conventions differ between them, so a cost on one is not directly comparable with a cost on another until both are expressed in money.
